Panchkhal Municipality’s economy is closely tied to agriculture. However, the increasing use of chemical pesticides and inefficient irrigation practices has contributed to environmental degradation—putting the health of farmers, communities, and the land itself at risk.
There is a growing need for more sustainable farming approaches. Farmers are actively seeking solutions that reduce dependence on harmful inputs while improving long-term productivity. Practices such as organic farming and efficient irrigation systems offer promising pathways toward a healthier agricultural ecosystem.
This challenge presents an opportunity for collaboration—bringing together farmers, environmental experts, and policymakers to rethink current practices and co-create sustainable solutions. Through collective effort, Panchkhal can move toward an agricultural model that supports both livelihoods and environmental well-being.
