Biswash Chepang is an Indigenous researcher, practitioner, and writer, dedicated to advancing the rights, knowledge systems, and self-determined futures of Indigenous Peoples. Biswash’s work is deeply rooted in the lived realities of Indigenous communities particularly the Chepang where he advocates for rights-based conservation, and recognition of Indigenous knowledge as central to sustainable ecosystems.
Biswash is committed to reimagining learning beyond formal institutions. He promotes the idea of “community as curriculum,” aligning with the vision of the Nepal Communiversity, where knowledge is co-created with communities, intergenerationally transmitted, and embedded in local ecologies and cultures. His work bridges activism, research, and storytelling to center Indigenous voices in policy, education, and global discourse.
