A 15-month experiential master’s journey that turns Nepal itself into a living classroom, spanning the himal, pahad, and terai. This 45-credit residential program designed by Nepal Communiversity in partnership with Kathmandu University (KU), blends interdisciplinary learning with deep community immersion, culminating in a six-month real-world capstone.
We start with orientation in Kathmandu. Then to Chitlang for our first trimester, Janakpur for the second trimester and Mustang for the third trimester. Back to Kathmandu for the a six month capstone semester (the modality of the capstone semester depends on the choice of track)
You will receive a master’s degree from Kathmandu University School of Arts (KUSOA).
The program combines interdisciplinary courses from the domains of technology, entrepreneurship, and social sciences, alongside community-based projects and holistic well-being. Every course and learning experience is designed through a place-based approach, where theoretical frameworks are connected with communities and local contexts, and real-world challenges
For nine months the program will be fully residential across Chitlang, Janakpur, and Mustang, followed by six months of intensive capstone work. Since the program is travel based and residential, in-person employment will not be feasible.

Learning is assessed continuously through a mix of projects, reflections, readings, and applied activities evaluated by faculty, community members, and industry partners through ongoing feedback rather than one-time exams.
